LST seeks information on procedure related to quarantining protestors
Colombo – 13.7.2021 – Yesterday the Law & Society Trust (LST) submitted two sets of Right-to-Information (RTI) requests to relevant authorities seeking information on the criteria and procedures adopted in forcibly committing citizens to quarantine.
LST is concerned that many people were forcibly quarantined after being arrested for engaging in peaceful protest on matters of compelling public interest.Because of the impact of forcible quarantining on the personal liberty of peaceful protestors, LST requested the relevant government agencies to make the information available within 48 hours of receiving the RTI request, as per the provisions of the RTI Act.

கொழும்பு – 13 ஜுலை 2021 – பிரசைகளைப் பலவந்தமாகக் குவரண்டைனுக்கு அனுப்புவதில் ஏற்று நடைமுறைப்படுத்தப்படும் தெரிவடிப்படை மற்றும் நடவடிக்கை முறைகள் பற்றிய தகவல்களைக் கோரி சம்பந்தப்பட்ட அதிகாரிகளிடம் தகவலறியும் உரிமை வேண்டுகோள்கள் இரண்டினை லோ அன்ட் சொசைட்டி டிரஸ்ட் நேற்றுச் சமர்ப்பித்துள்ளது. பொதுநலன் வாய்ந்த விடயங்களுக்காகச் சமாதானமான முறையில் எதிர்ப்பு நடவடிக்கைகளில் ஈடுபட்டமைக்காகக் கைது செய்யப்பட்ட பின்னர் பல நபர்கள் பலவந்தமாகக் குவரண்டைன் செய்யப்படுவது பற்றி எல்எஸ்டி கரிசணை கொண்டுள்ளது.
